I'm still here !! -- Going forward edition

I've decided to take on the challenge from Brad at 2 Boys in Love and share a list of "items" that have caught my attention lately.

Item 1: Insanely hot dudes!!

I have to say that I've been a bit off these last weeks.  But these last days...  it's beginning to change!!  I'm .... well.... hornier :)  And I can't believe how these dudes below are hot!!

Item #2: Ben Cohen

I know he's not an item!!  He's a person, and a very good looking one.  It is not the first time I post pics of him here and there is a good reason for that.  It's because I just can't stop going back to looking at him !! Hehehe!!!

Item #3: Bubbly

As I've mentionned at Item #1,  I'm beginning to be back at my usual self.  So I began to be happier.  When I was downer, one of my friends in the chat room had told me that he missed my bubbly side.  I was not quite sure what it meant, but I kinda knew it had to do with general happiness. Then, a few days ago, that same friend said he was happy because I was back to being bubbly!!  That really made me smile because it is such a funny word and I'm happy to be identified as "bubbly".  It's become my word of the week!  Anyways, I suppose it looks silly from the outside, but it really means something to me.

Item #4: Cooking

I wish I knew how to cook.  I wish I could prepare good meals.  But sadly, I don't have passion for that and I lack on planning for it.  So, I often end up eating some really simple and basic stuff.  And it becomes repetitive, I lack creativity as well on that department....

Item #5: Meds

Tonight is the 28th and last day of my tritherapy.  I did hide it from everyone around me except my boss.  That proved a bit tricky on the 2 occasions that I had a dinner at my parents.  I didn't want to take my meds there because my family would have noticed it.  Luckily, I had to take my meds at 5:15, so before leaving for dinner at my parents, I took "pre-dinners" and took my meds and hurried to leave for my parents.  I had to lie to give reasons why I was so late, but its for the better good.

Item #6: Europe

I've been chatting with a lot of Euro guys and living there seems awesome!!  You're so close to many other countries and cultures!!  You can travel within the continent at what seems to be relatively cheap prices.  I'm thinking about going over there for my summer vacations.  So far I've stayed in North America and the furthest I went was California.  So Europe would really be a cool destination to go to.

Item #7: Bazaar

I started reading that Stephen King book last summer.  I have 2/3 read.  I really enjoyed reading it, but somehow I stopped.  I really need to go back at it again!

  1. That "Brad" person you referred to in the first sentence seems like a cool guy! ;-)

I wish I could help you with item #4! I wonder how much "personal chefs" even make! LOL.

I'm really happy today is the last day of your meds. I've been thinking about you.

  2. I'm with Brad - I'm glad you are done with your meds. Something tells me it was all unnecessary, but you've done it, and I'm sure you learned something from the whole experience. I'm looking forward to you finding your next boyfriend!

    1. Thanks, I just wanted to have no regrets that I could have done anything more.

  3. Well somebody has good taste in men. :)

I like Stephen King too. I got pumped when I saw your book because I thought I'd read nearly all of his books and I hadn't heard of that one. But I looked it up and I believe Bazaar is called Needful Things in the States. Rats - I've read it. If you like his short stories Full Dark, No Stars is really good too.

  4. Cooking is like any skill, you can learn from a variety of sources. I suggest You Tube (tons of videos), one of the best is "Food Wishes" -- just search for it.

  5. Hi JF. Thanks for the follow-up on the end of your meds. I wondered about that. So happy for you. Yeah, that Brad guy is something else, isn't he? Bet he could give you a good rate on cooking clesses. :)

Hoping you have great luck finding your next boyfriend. You're always in my thoughts.

  6. On the food issue, I highly recommend getting a crockpot. There are so many great things you can cook in a crockpot (I swear my ex, his roommate, and their friend were ready to declare their undying love for me over my pot roast, and the friend was straight!) and it's something you can leave to cook unattended once you get everything ready. Plus, with a six quart crockpot, you can make enough of a recipe for several servings (so you might also want to invest in storage containers that you can use in the freezer). In theory, you can spend four hours or so in the kitchen every weekend and eventually have a variety of ready-to-go meals all month.

Also, be sure to check out sites like allrecipes.com. You can find some incredible meals that are relatively easy to make. I mean, even something like chicken cordon bleu is relatively straightforward.

  7. Glad to hear you finished your meds. That would be such a relief to me if I were in your shoes. I hate having to remember to take meds, especially if they have to be taken at a specific time. Is Flyman getting retested? When? How about you? I think it's been a little over a month since the incident, so I'm assuming you wouldn't get tested for another two months, maybe a little less.

    1. We go back to see the doctor on March 7th. I'm not sure what I'll have to do, but Flyman will be tested again as it will have been 2 months since his incident. And the test is reliable after 2 months. So I really really hope that the test will be negative, because it would mean that we're both negative.

  8. Love Stephen King. One of my exes bought me a copy of "Dreamcatcher" for Christmas one year. It was my first introduction to any of his books (I've seen a few of the movies based on various books.) I loved it because of how cerebral it was.

I'd have to say that my two favorite King books are "Carrie" (which is much more interesting than the movie, because it goes more into how her mother's religious mania influences Carrie's eventual rampage) and "The Green Mile."

    1. I'm feeling you, C.O. I think one reason his books are so interesting (and the movies are usually so horrible) is because the real story is not the external horror, but what's happening in the main character's mind.
